The 13th edition of LMD’s Most Respected entities in Sri Lanka has been released, its publisher Media Services announced recently.

“Yet again, John Keells Holdings (JKH) is nominated as the Most Respected entity in the island with the highest number of golds for a record 12th year… JKH strengthened its position in 2017 with 296 gold nominations compared to 239 last year,” the magazine notes.
MAS improved its position by gaining one place to take the No. 2 spot in the rankings while Dialog climbed three notches to third. In contrast, Commercial Bank dropped by two places to fourth while Hayleys maintained its fifth place from 2016.
Rounding off the top 10, Unilever Sri Lanka moved down two spots (to be placed at No. 6), Hemas moved up by two steps to seventh, Sampath Bank fell a place to No. 8 and Brandix was up a notch to ninth. In 10th place is Aitken Spence, which dropped by two places from the prior year.
As for LMD’s attribute rankings, a spokesperson for its publisher Media Services says: “JKH leads in five categories (financial performance, management profile, dynamism, corporate culture and vision) while MAS is perceived as being the best on two counts (quality consciousness and CSR).”
ComBank assumes leadership for honesty with Dialog leading in innovation and Sampath Bank being the most nation-minded, according to the annual survey conducted by Nielsen for LMD.
The magazine is available at leading supermarkets and bookshops across the island, and the principal rankings appear on LMD’s website (www.LMD.lk), along with profiles of some of the nation’s most admired corporate houses.
