Final ODI dedicated to Nuwan Kulasekara

Sri Lanka Cricket will dedicate the 3rd ODI between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on behalf of fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekara, who announced his retirement from international cricket.

One of the greatest one-day fast bowlers produced by Sri Lanka Lasith Malinga made a fairy tale end to his ODI career by capturing the final Bangladesh wicket to give his country an emphatic 91 runs win in the first ODI played at the R Premadasa Stadium yesterday.

All good things they say must come to an end and on this occasion One-Day International (ODI) cricket will bade farewell to legendary fast bowler Lasith Malinga when he makes his 226th and last ODI appearance for this country in the first match of the series against Bangladesh under lights at the R Premadasa Stadium today.

Sri Lanka will have a new cricket head coach at the end of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka Cricket president Shammi Silva said.

Sri Lanka will concentrate on improving their overall ODI rankings in the three-match one-day series against Bangladesh that commences at the R Premadasa Stadium on July 26, chairman of selectors Ashantha de Mel said.

The process of selecting the new Indian coach has started and even though the incumbents have been given an extension of 45 days, a new management will be in place before India’s home series against South Africa which starts in September. Also, members of the existing panel can reapply for the different positions it is quite likely that the Indian team could see a new head coach come September.
