World Meteorological Day is celebrated on March 23 every year to draw attention to weather and climate for the safety and well-being of society. The World Meteorological Organization came into force on March 23, 1950. The theme for World Meteorological Day 2023 is "Early Warning and Early Action: Hydrometeorological and Climate Information for Disaster Risk Reduction."
