Sri Lanka produces furnace oil using garbage recycling process Featured

Government will implement a program to recycle garbage and petroleum waste at a recycling plant to be seet up at Kerawalapitya environmental conservation park beig developped at present, ministr of urban development Prasanna Ranatunge said.

The aim of the program is to minimize environmental pollution and adulteration of petroleum products.

Accordingly, the new recyling plant will produce furnace oil, primary bio coal and several other products in addition to the current production of bio fertilizer (Compost) using garbage dummed at the Kerawalapitiya site, he disclosed.

It has already produced 1500 metric tonnes of compost fertilizer while issung 30 mt to the local market daily.
