Accordingly, EOIs will be called from both domestic and international developers, for the construction of two floating solar power plants, with each generating 100 Megawatts of power.

The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday (23 Oct.) approved a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Power and Energy to call for resolutions for the construction and execution of the proposed solar power plants from prospective bidders.

The relevant approval was given upon the realization of the fact that the construction of floating solar power plants on the surface of reservoirs to generate solar power is a much more appropriate remedy for countries with limited land.
