Due to the lack of night navigation facilities, vessels calling at the port had to anchoring at the outer harbhour overnight and only enter in the daytime.
“Earlier we didn’t have a facility in the Trincomalee Port for night operations, so now we will start the night navigation operations”. Viraj Abeysinghe, spokesman for the Ministry of Ports said.
