Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva nearly 25,000 people have travelled via the BIA.

The construction of the second terminal of the BIA is currently underway,and the pre-fabricated terminal will remain a temporary solution until the process is completed.

Plans are in place to complete the construction of the terminal in the next six months.
