Sri Lanka customs seizes a parcel of hashish worth Rs. 164 million Featured

Sri Lanka customs has grabed another stock of hashish worth Rs. 164 million during its inspections in Colombo ashortwhile ago.

A consignment of hashish worth Rs. 164 million in a parcel imported to Sri Lanka from Belgium has been seized officials of the Customs Baggage Department at the Orugudawatta container terminal, Sri Lanka Custom’s spokesman Sivali Arukgoda revealed.

He said the parcel had been sent to an address in the Wennappuwa area in Chilaw and contained hashish weighing 01 kg and 098 grams.

Investigations by Customs officers have confirmed that this address is fake. No one has been arrested in connection with this stock of drugs.

The consignment of has been handed over to the Police Anti-narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
