He said in a statement to media that a venue, time and scope of the debate will be decided shortly with SJB MP Nalin Bandara, who was appointed by the SJB to handle the matters regarding the debate.

The SJB had proposed that the debate between the two leaders be held on June 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 while the debate between the economic experts be held on May 27, 28, 29, 30
