Police said a man who was hiding at Ruwan Mawatha Junction at Boraodawatta opened fire at the victim and fled.
The victim, a resident of Andiambalama died instantaneously after being shot at.
Investigations are underway to arrest the suspect and to find the reason for the shooting. (DSB)
