Nishantha Edirisinghe, Conservator General, Department of Forest Conservation of Sri Lanka said that various people organize tours of the reserve through social media networks.

He stated that a serious threat to safety has arisen due to the fact that they use different routes which would be dangerous and can also harm the ecosystem of the forest.
