The European Union (EU) has expressed its willingness to extend support to Sri Lanka as it adapts to the impacts of climate change. The EU has said it is committed to working with Sri Lanka to help the country build a more resilient and sustainable future.

The EU has urged Sri Lanka to lift the import restrictions, preventing many European products from entering its market.

April 3 -- The European Union (EU) member states' ambassadors on March 29 agreed the Council's negotiating mandate for a proposal to digitalize the Schengen visa procedure.

The proposal includes the ability to apply for Schengen visa online, as well as the replacement of the present visa sticker with a digital visa, according to a press release of the European Council.
