Mission "To ensure secured and honourable life for persons internally displaced and returnee refugees by providing facilities to resettle them and implementing appropriate post settlement shelter, sanitation, livelihood and other assistance effectively to improve their standard of living." Objectives Facilitate co-ordination between the Government and donor Agencies, Non- governmental organizations and civil society in respect of resettlement and post resettlement activities. Provision of essential humanitarian assistance to displaced persons. Ensure secured and honourable life for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnee refugees by providing facilities to resettle them in their places of origin. Initiate action towards making available durable solutions to internally displaced and returnee refugees in terms of shelter, water, sanitation facilities, livelihood restoration and provision of community Infrastructure. Maintenance of IDPs Welfare Centres as required. Implementation of recommendations made by the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission which are relevant to the Ministry.
