Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim revealed the information at a press conference held at Grand Ballroom of Hotel InterContinental Dhaka on Saturday.

In a written statement, the minister told the journalists that Bangladesh International Aquaculture and Seafood Show 2023 (BIASS 2023) is aimed to promote sustainable growth, innovation, and international collaboration in Bangladesh's aquaculture and seafood industries while showcasing the country's potential as a leading player in the global seafood market.
It would also serve as the catalyst for the advancement and recognition of Bangladesh's aquaculture and seafood industries, contributing to the overall socio-economic well-being of the country. The Aquaculture and Seafood Show (BIASS) 2023 will offer a comprehensive display of aquaculture technologies, equipment, feed, packaging, processing machinery, and other related products and services for diverse stakeholders, he said.

The gathering will create opportunities for business development, new partnership, and collaboration among the stakeholders, and remain updated with the latest industry trends, he added.
These target participants will join the BIASS 2023 to expand their network, exchange knowledge, explore business opportunities, showcase their products and services, collaborate with stakeholders, influence policies, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the aquaculture and seafood industries in Bangladesh, said the release.
The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, the Department of Fisheries, the Ministry of Commerce and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association, and Solidaridad are jointly organizing the show.
Lokman Hossain Mia, executive chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), an Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce were present at the press conference, among others.
