UNP’s Management Committee decides to field Ranil for Presidency

The UNP Management Committee today decided to field incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the candidate for the Presidential election which is to be held in September this year.

President Wickremesinghe is expected to be marketed as the national candidate according to sources.

The UNP Management Committee comprises Assitant Leader Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, MP Vajira Abeywardene, Harin Fernando and Ruwan Wijewardene.
