Next week he will share his reflections from his recent visit to Sri Lanka after observing UNICEF programs and meeting children and their families.

UNCIEF Sri Lanka said COVID, the economic crisis, and its knock-on effects impacted the lives of children across the country.

“As the country moves towards economic recovery, it is critical to prioritise the needs of children, especially nutrition and education, to build the foundations for children and for the country,” UNICEF added.

Sachin was appointed as the first UNICEF Regional Goodwill Ambassador for South Asia in 2013.
